Next up in my Stress Free Wedding Series is the Wedding Party photos! This portion of the day is eeeeasy. There aren't that many tips, but the few I have are super helpful! This is the fun time you get to hang with all your friends. I don't like to spend too much time on these portraits since most of your crew has been up early and just wants to go party! If these shots are super important to you, make sure you let your photographer know ahead of time!
#1 Do individual groups before the ceremony
If my couples aren’t doing a first look, I like to do separate bridal party and grooms party photos. This way after the ceremony we only have to take about 10 minutes to do shots of everyone combined. This is largely dependent on time and location. If we don’t have enough time or a good way to keep y’all from seeing each other we’ll do the photos after ceremony!
#2 Incorporate your personality
I love wedding photos that are authentic and unique for each of my couples. If y’all are beer drinkers, let's crack some open, if you have cool socks, let’s show them off! If there’s something special you really want to try let your photographer know– I' always game to try something new!
#3 Don’t forget the individuals!
Most couples forget about the individual photos of you and each member of your wedding party, if your photographer happens to forget, make sure you remind them! These are the photos you’ll want to post for your sister’s birthday or best friends’ own engagement! Trust me, these are waaaaay more used/important than the big group shots!
